What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at NEXGEN Tooling?
Responsibilities
1st Shift - Part time - Weekly hours will range from 24-30 hours approximately occurring between 10:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Cleaning the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls and using cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, carpet cleaning machines, etc.
- Disinfecting commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
- Maintaining cleaning inventory, and notifying management when orders are needed for replacement products.
- Emptying trash and recycling bins.
- Monitoring and filling bathroom supplies.
- Completing minor facilities repairs such as floor tape replacement, wall painting, switching light bulbs, and unclogging toilets.
- Other activities as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
Ability to:
- read, write and speak English.
- stand on feet for full shift reaching, bending, stooping and twisting as needed.
- lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- wearing required PPE.
- operating floor scrubber, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
- climbing up and down stairs.
- working around chemicals used for cleaning.
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of cleaning experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
