Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including private insurance plans, ensuring accurate billing and coding with CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes
- Collect payments, process dental collections.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards
- Manage patient records by filing, updating electronic health records (EHR systems), and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with intake procedures including medical history updates and initial patient assessments while providing excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental office setting with strong clinic experience and office management skills
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and process claims efficiently using insurance verification tools
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10 key typing
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes
- Bilingual abilities ( Russian) are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and positive attitude
