JOB DESCRIPTION
Industrial Painter
Experienced – Multi types of spray equipment and materials. Air assist or other industrial paint equipment experience preferred.
SUMMARY Applies paint and various products to interior and/or exterior surfaces of multiple industrial and military components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares products for application in a safe manner.
- Prime and paint surfaces as necessary using airless, air assist, conventional and other means of applying finishes.
- Ensure personal safety; understand how machine and/or tools works and how to operate it safely; knowledge of emergency stops; and utilization of personal protective equipment.
- Perform job safely.
- Improve job performance in a continuous manner through experience and training.
- Work in team setting to meet objectives of department.
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment, tools, and general housekeeping at and around workstation.
- Inform management of any defected or scrap components through the proper channels.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND ABILITIES

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in painting on medium to heavy assembly/fabrication items in a production environment.
- Experience using and basic knowledge of painting equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices.
- Must excel at working in a team environment as well as manage individual time
- Fork truck certificate is a plus.
Requires a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions, information gathered from meters, calibrated scales, visual display units. Ability to receive and understand instructions via routings and drawings. Ability to summarize verbal instructions. Non-English speakers are welcome to apply.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze written basic numerical information; use ruler, scales wet-film gauges and other physical measuring instruments.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to follow instructions, in a logical order, given in oral, written, or diagram form. Ability to apply quality standards against product and determine if defective and degree of defect. Ability to compile gathered information. Ability to solve practical problems with common sense.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
