Yard Associate / Material Handler | St. George, UT

This role is ideal for hardworking individuals who take pride in accuracy, safety, and efficiency while working in a fast-paced lumber yard environment. Candidates should be comfortable handling building materials, assisting customers, and operating equipment such as forklifts and power tools. This position involves both hands-on yard work and customer interaction. If you are reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a team, we want to connect with you.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately assemble and stage customer orders for delivery, transfer, or pick-up

• Check in delivery orders and verify incoming products, completing necessary paperwork

• Safely load and unload building materials and products

• Operate yard equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tools

• Perform routine pre- and post-inspections on equipment and report any issues

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe yard and storage areas

• Assist customers with material pick-ups, returns, and product questions

• Deliver materials to commercial and residential job sites as needed

• Communicate delays, shortages, or order issues to management

• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures

• Support warehouse and yard operations as directed by supervisors

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Prior lumber yard or material handling experience preferred

• Ability to lift 80–100 lbs regularly

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Basic math and measurement skills

• Ability to operate forklifts and yard equipment (certification preferred)

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented

Pay

$18.00  per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday – Friday | 7am-4pm
