Lab Chemist

This role is essential to ensuring the integrity and consistency of our client's manufacturing processes. The Lab Chemist will work under the direct supervision of the Lab Manager but is expected to operate independently upon completing initial training. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, the Chemist will also assist in training and mentoring new lab technicians and chemists, while collaborating closely with lab leadership to maintain and improve laboratory quality systems.

Responsibilities

•    Maintain accurate records of all quality-related activities in accordance with established procedures and test methods.

•    Handle samples and conduct analyses following approved protocols.

•    Write and update procedures and test methods as needed.

•    Review and sign off on the work of others when appropriately trained.

•    Calibrate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment.

•    Report equipment malfunctions or deficiencies to the supervisor.

•    Identify, document, and correct nonconformities.

•    Support continuous improvement efforts in lab and quality processes.

•    Organize and prepare samples for heavy metals and chemical analysis testing.

•    Prepare and analyze samples using HPLC, UPLC, GC, ICP-MS, and wet chemistry techniques.

•    Accurately report and review test results.

•    Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization.

•    Perform internal audits as assigned.

•    Complete other duties as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.

•    Laboratory experience required; experience with food-grade products is a plus.

•    Familiarity with established quality standards is preferred.

•    Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precise records.

Pay 

$22.00 - $25.00 Per Hour

Schedule 

Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm
