Nexeo HR is seeking a licensed Senior Civil Engineer (PE) to join a well-established civil engineering and surveying firm serving Northern Utah. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced Professional Engineer with a strong background in municipal infrastructure, commercial and residential site development, grading and drainage design, utilities, and roadway projects. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, project management experience, and leadership skills, along with the ability to support client development and business growth. Candidates must live within or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the Brigham City area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and management of civil engineering projects including municipal infrastructure and commercial and residential site development
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, and roadway designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion
• Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, engineering calculations, and construction documents
• Review, sign, and seal engineering drawings and documents as the licensed Professional Engineer
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and engineering standards
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and public agencies to obtain approvals
• Support business development efforts including client management and proposal development
• Mentor and lead junior engineers and technical staff
• Participate in periodic evening meetings and limited travel as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Utah preferred or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 5–7 years of civil engineering experience (10 years preferred)
• Engineering consulting experience strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of engineering staff leadership experience
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong experience in municipal infrastructure, site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and sealing engineering documents
• Strong project management, budgeting, and scheduling experience
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
• Ability to pass consistent/random drug testing (federal project compliance)
• Must reside within or relocate to 30 miles of Brigham City, Utah

Pay:

$90,000 – $135,000 annually

Schedule:

Full time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

Flexible between 6:00am–6:00pm (in office by 8:00am preferred)
