Join Our Team as a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician
Nex-Tech is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. As a NOC Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our internal and external communications networks by monitoring systems 24/7/365. You’ll be responsible for identifying and troubleshooting telecommunications and data issues, opening and managing trouble tickets, and responding to inbound phone calls, emails, and service requests. This position offers a dynamic work environment with flexible shifts, including a four-day work week and shift differential pay.
What You'll Do:
Monitor and analyze network systems using standard industry tools
Troubleshoot and escalate issues with telecommunications and data networks
Open and manage trouble tickets through resolution
Respond to inbound phone calls, emails, and service requests
Collaborate with internal teams and escalate events when necessary
What You Bring:
Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
Familiarity with business network equipment configuration and support
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associate’s degree in communications, telecommunications, or electronics engineering (preferred)
6 months to 2 years of experience in network monitoring or surveillance (preferred)
