As a Rehabilitation Aide, take part in the continuum of patient care in our dynamic outpatient rehabilitation department. Assist in maintaining therapy areas by obtaining rehabilitation equipment, maintaining inventory of supplies and restocking linen and medical supplies. May provide transport of patients as needed. Under the supervision of a rehabilitation therapist, assist with the care of patients of all ages and diagnoses in our outpatient setting and serve as a medical chaperone for specialty care. Candidates for the position should have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a team setting managing a high volume of patients and be comfortable interacting with patients.  

Schedule

This is a full-time position working Monday - Thursday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Preferred Criteria

• 1 year outpatient experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months hospital experience
• Knowledge of policies and procedures of Rehabilitation Medicine

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
