Quality & Patient Safety Specialist – Behavioral Health
Full-Time | Day Shift
In this vital role, you’ll serve as a trusted partner and subject matter expert for quality and patient safety initiatives across our Behavioral Health locations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting significant event management and aligning goals with hospital-wide priorities
- Promoting regulatory standards and interfacing with regulatory agencies, including the New York State Justice Center and the Office of Mental Health
- Consulting, analyzing, and facilitating improvement programs for internal client groups
- Developing and implementing strategies to uphold and advance quality and safety standards
- Researching, collecting, and analyzing data to drive informed decision-making
This position requires on-site work at our Behavioral Health campuses in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Westchester, with occasional travel to other NYP locations. You’ll work full-time from Monday-Friday in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Clinical licensure (RN, PA, NP, MD, Nurse Midwife, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD)
- Psychiatric clinical experience
- PMP or Six Sigma/Lean certification
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
- Strong data analytics skills
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of healthcare experience, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
