NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, located in Flushing, New York, is a community teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, serving Queens and metro New York residents.
The 535-bed tertiary care facility provides services in 14 clinical departments and numerous subspecialties. Annually, 15,000 surgeries and 4,000 infant deliveries are performed at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
With its network of affiliated primary and multispecialty care physician practices and community-based health centers, the hospital provides approximately 162,000 ambulatory care visits and 124,000 emergency service visits annually.

In this role, you will ensure safe, effective utility service. Including, operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of high and low pressure oil-fired boilers and auxiliary equipment to provide steam for heating, cooling and processing needs; to insure proper operation of other equipment such as air conditioners, generators, compressors.
Required Criteria:
- Must have a thorough knowledge of boilers and auxiliary equipment, hand and power tools, meters, test equipment and machinery, and all related supplies and equipment gained through at least 5 years’ experience.
- High School diploma.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program.
- 1 years of training in boiler operation and maintenance.
- NYC Stationary Engineer License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- requires a high level of physical exertion and demands, such as
lifting, climbing ladders, crouching, reaching, bending, kneeling and stretching.
Preferred Criteria:
- NYC Refrigeration License
This is a per diem position located at- 56-45 Main Street Flushing, NY 11355
*The position will be filled with local 30 Union employees.
