Mammography Tech I - Breast Imaging – Per Diem - Day/Evening
NYPHVH is known worldwide for boldly advanced diagnostic care and caring. Smart, knowledgeable technologists like you help us diagnose challenging conditions, building on our tradition of historic innovation and care. The Mammography Tech I shall be responsible for performing mammography imaging and related procedures as prescribed by physicians under the direction of a radiologist with little supervision.
This is a per diem position with both Day and Evening and varied hours of 7:30am to 8:00pm (Must be flexible) Evening availability (4pm to 8pm Tuesday and Thursday and occasional Saturdays 8am to 1pm) at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at both off-site locations and 1978 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY.
Preferred Criteria
Technologist is competent in Mammography and General X-Ray
Required Criteria
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) in mammography required.
Licensure by New York State Department of Health.
Knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures usually obtained by being a graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited educational program or equivalent.
Analytical skills in order to evaluate and perform mammography procedures.
Organizational skills necessary in order to plan and implement several procedures simultaneously and to coordinate work within the unit and department.
