Digital Pathology is a subfield of pathology that focuses on information generated from digitized specimen slides. Glass slides are converted into digital images that can be viewed, shared and analyzed on a computer monitor to achieve a more efficient, cost-effective diagnosis. This new and innovate process is ideal for both research and clinical use as it creates a digital archive for each patient, promotes telepathology and serves as a better patient experience.
Bring your talents to our tight-knit team and provide the support our Laboratory professionals need to drive high-quality patient care. As an Imaging Coordinator in Digital Pathology, you can help provide quality patient care by:
- Preparing and scanning pathology slides to create digital images for clinical and research use.
- Completing required pre and post scan reviews and quality control checks
- Ensuring that slides are cleaned and properly labeled with working barcode before scanning
- Following standard procedure, checking to be sure that each digital image is of good quality and that the barcode was property read.
- Identifies and documents QA deficiencies
This is a full-time mid-shift position with hours 12p-8p Monday-Friday. Hours are subject to change as needed per department operations.
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of field experience
- Certification in Digital Imaging from National Society of Histotechnology
