Information Technology System Support I – Parsippany, NJ
Under direct supervision, the individual in this role will respond to and diagnose problems through discussion with users. This will include problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution steps, as well as typically resolving basic problems, while referring more complex problems to intermediate and/or senior level. The IT System Support I may involve use of problem management database and help desk systems.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, phones operating systems, and other software with established standards and guidelines
- Providing tier one support for users to resolve various desktop and phone issues
- Recording, updating, and documenting requests using the IT service desk system
- Escalating issues to tier-2 support and/or supervisor, as necessary
- Providing face-to-face or remote end-user support
This position is based out of our warehouse in Parsippany, NJ and will be 100% onsite. Hours are 8:00am-4:00pm.
Preferred Criteria
- Technical Certification or Associate’s Degree
- Knowledge in Operating Systems: Windows; Apple
Required Criteria
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Strong customer service and business and technical writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
