Equipment Technician - Operating Room - Full Time - Day Shift 

Equipment Technicians at the New York-Presbyterian provide seamless services in transporting equipment throughout the Operating Rooms at the Lower Manhattan Hospital.  If you’re ready to play a key role in the care and caring of our patients, explore the following position:

In this role you will transport supplies and equipment to be used for cleaning from utility/equipment center area to assigned work area, when required, by pushing/pulling carts or carrying items in accordance with established procedures. Prepare Cardiac Arrest carts.  Maintain supplies, clean equipment/furniture by patient bedside, when required, in an orderly manner. Transport dirty equipment from the unit to specified cleaning area. Receive deliveries to replenish supplies needed to perform cleaning, repair of equipment, restocking of specialty carts. Maintain written log of supply status.

This shift for this position is Days 12:30pm to 9:00pm , and includes weekends and holidays. 

Preferred Criteria

• Central Sterile experience 

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED

• Computer knowledge

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
