NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Neonatologist for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.

NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital) provides access to primary care physicians and specialists from ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester. Located in Bronxville, NY, we are an emerging pediatric center, currently home to a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a newborn nursery, and a 6-bed pediatric unit. Our 288-bed facility is home to a cancer center, maternity center, breast health center, two cardiac catheterization labs, and a NYS-designated Stroke Center. NYPW provides emergency care to approximately 35,000 individuals annually and delivers nearly 2,000 babies each year.

Key Responsibilities

Columbia University, Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology is seeking a full-time community-based clinical neonatologist to join the Columbia faculty. Candidate will join a large cohesive team of community-based neonatologists who will work primarily at NYP/Westchester Hospital with additional coverage of NYP Allen Hospital. Rapid growth is anticipated at NYP/Westchester, and this is an opportunity to join and build a new program. Your primary responsibilities will be as a neonatologist in the Division of Neonatology.

  • At NYP Westchester and Allen, you will provide coverage in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Delivery Room, with additional Well Baby coverage as needed.
  • You will also have the opportunity to participate in rotations as an Attending Neonatologist at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital NICU where you will participate in providing the highest level of care for patients with critical illness.
  • You will be expected to attend weekly divisional faculty meetings, participate in resident and fellow education, and attend educational conferences, as possible.
  • As a member of the faculty, you will have the opportunity to participate in QI initiatives at Westchester, Allen and MSCH, working closely with the NYP QI team to enhance uniform guidelines and improve clinical management across the NYP NICUs. Opportunities to engage in additional areas of professional interest (bioethics, clinical research) will be supported and encouraged but not required.

Hiring Salary Range: $230,000 - $252,300 a year; the salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
