What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Quality Assurance Tester position at Newwave Telecom and Technologies Inc?
Evaluates business requirements, system requirements, and technical specifications for the purpose of designing, developing, and implementing integrated system for software systems and/or related components and equipment. Coordinates and conducts quality assurance testing within established project timelines. Reviews and evaluates software products for adherence to quality standards.
What We Need You to Do:
- Evaluate business requirements, identify test objectives, prepare test scenarios, write test scripts, update traceability matrixes, and execute integrated system tests consistent with technical design specifications to meet all documented requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and analyze detailed system factors including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements and reliability characteristics.
- Provide team members with constructive feedback on requirements, project checklists, risk log, technical specifications, project schedule and unit test documents as required.
- Participate in requirements peer reviews, technical peer reviews, test peer reviews and unit test reviews.
- Prepare and submit test plans, test cases and test summary reports.
- Update and execute test scripts for regression and back-to-service testing.
- Plan and execute 508 Compliance tests for system applications and user documentation.
- Record and effectively communicate all validation issues with project team members.
- Resolve system validation issues with team members in a proactive manner.
- Using Automated Testing Tools and Web Application Analyzers prepare and execute automated test scripts as required.
- Performs tasks related to maintaining technical tools and environment such as Spira, Quick Test Professional, WebInspect, Load Runner, Performance Center, etc.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participate in special projects as required.
What We Need You to Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
- 1-3 years of related quality assurance experience.
- Strong knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in systems analysis, design and testing.
Preferred
- 1-2 years of hands on experience related to analyzing system requirement, writing test plans and executing test cases for a secure Health Information Delivery System.
- 1-2 years of experience with 508 Compliance Testing.
- 1-2 years of experience with CMMI Level 3 Practices.
