Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Automotive Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive top-quality service, keeping their vehicles running smoothly and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive technology, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diesel engines, and complex electrical systems, in a fast-paced environment that values mechanical excellence and customer satisfaction. We are a heavy repair facility, very rarely do we do easy work.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems, including engines, powertrains, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and alignments.
- Conduct engine repairs on both gasoline and diesel engines, utilizing mechanical knowledge and power tools to restore optimal performance.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and implement effective repair solutions.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and heavy lifting with proper manual handling techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in auto body repair tasks like welding when necessary to support comprehensive vehicle service offerings.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed using automotive diagnostics software for transparency and quality assurance.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle makes and models.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially with GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Hands-on experience working with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS calibration, and engine technology.
- Skilled in the use of automotive diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and manual handling safety procedures required for vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with automotive schematics, powertrain components, engine repair processes, and auto body repair techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
