Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, organized, and dependable Medical Office Receptionist to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our practice, handling patient interactions, managing daily scheduling, and delivering essential administrative support to keep our clinical operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Reception: Greet arriving patients warmly, manage the check-in/check-out process, and maintain an organized, clean waiting room environment.
Phone & Scheduling: Answer incoming phone calls promptly, address patient inquiries, schedule and confirm appointments, and direct urgent calls appropriately.
Administrative Support: Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information, collect co-pays, process paperwork, and assist clinical staff with routine clerical tasks.
Patient Communication: Bridge language gaps to ensure accurate intake, clear instructions, and comfortable service for non-English-speaking patients.
Requirements & Qualifications
Language Proficiency: Basic fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is required.
Experience: Previous medical office or healthcare administration experience is preferred.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
Technical Ability: Comfort using phone systems, computers, and electronic health record (EHR) or scheduling software.
