GENERAL DESCRIPTION (1-3 LINES DESCRIBING ROLE):
|
|
Provide hardware and software maintenance and support for Mac, Windows, iOS and other IT platforms. Deliver these technology support services at the building location(s) assigned by the Director of Technology and Information Services Manager.
|
|
QUALIFICATIONS:
|
- Associate degree in Information Systems or a technology-related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of required hands on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software on Mac, PC, printers and mobile devices.
- Basic Network LAN, WAN and TCP/IP concepts.
- Experience servicing and installing AV equipment such as projectors, interactive white boards, and audio systems. ? Team oriented, and communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) and/or CompTIA A Certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES (NOT LIMITED TO):
|
- Setup, maintain and troubleshoot Mac, PC, iOS mobile devices, printers and Audio-Visual equipment.
- Provide site-based support at schools and administrative offices. (Installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, cleaning, and IT support for teachers, and school staff)
- Perform repair and maintenance tasks of all hardware including desktop, laptop, printer, mobile devices and installation of audio visual equipment.
- Accurately track user problems and requests within the central ticketing system
- to insure responsive follow-up on requests or problems and completion of assigned tasks.
- Work at the IT Help Desk and collaborate with other IT personnel in the IT Department.
- Administer user accounts and group permissions.
- Review, maintain and deploy packages, images, policies and profiles within end-user device management suites (i.e. Casper, KBox, Lightspeed).
- Train school and district users in the effective use of district applications. Maintain up-to-date documentation and media to support these PD initiatives.
- Remain current and adapt to new IT technology as needed.
- Advocate and adhere to the IT strategies, hardware and software standards, security policies and operational procedures of the IT Department.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology and Information Services Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
|
|
- This role involves moving IT equipment (computers, printers, AV equipment etc.) weighing up to 50 lbs.
- This role requires the use of a car to travel between school buildings daily.
- This role involves setup and installation of Audio-Visual equipment and may require getting up on a ladder.
- This role involves plugging in the network and electric connections of IT equipment which are oftentimes difficult to reach under or behind furniture.
