School Substitute Nurse (unlimited positions)
NEW JOB OPPORTUNITIES ~ INCREASED PAY RATES
SUBSTITUTE NURSE RATE = $250/DAY
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current NJ Nursing Certificate REQUIRED
- NJ Substitute Certificate REQUIRED (we will help you obtain a substitute certification, if necessary)
- Criminal background check on file
REPORTS TO:
The Principal or an appropriately certificated designee.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:
- Demonstrate expertise in school health nursing practices and emergency procedures
- Knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues, and wellness education
- Knowledge of community health and social services resources and ability to communicate effectively with non‑school health professionals and social service agencies
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:
- The district will reimburse the $125 NJDOE School Substitute Nurse certification fee upon submission of a receipt, with prior superintendent approval and after the candidate has substituted in the district at least three times.
- The district will also reimburse costs for required state‑mandated training if completed within 25 workdays of the start date, provided the candidate has prior superintendent approval and has substituted in the district at least three times.
