Hours:
Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 am-5:30 pm

Qualifications:

5. Able to lift and carry 30-50 pounds.
6. Able to work with long periods of standing, bending, and carrying.

8. Able to follow oral and written directions.
9. Able to communicate effectively with donors, customers, volunteers & staff.
10. Able to maintain confidentiality and handle money and sensitive information.
11. Willingness to work as part of a team with staff and volunteers.
12. Self-motivated, willing to take initiative; able to prioritize processing tasks and identify improvements.
Duties:
- Communicate store information, donation guidelines, and mission to donors.
- Bring in donations, sort and channel donations to the proper departments, and carry out purchases to customers.
- Screen donations for quality, turn away unacceptable donations, and communicate with the Workroom Manager when conflicts arise.
- Oversee organization and cleanliness of donations and large item area.
o Assist Workroom Manager with recycling and salvage programs; assist in monitoring recycling and salvage receptacles.
- Perform other tasks as requested by management.
- Daily Operations:
o Assist in managing daily operations with other staff, including opening, closing, and securing the building.
o Assist volunteers, donors, and customers as needed.
o Remove trash from workroom and sales floor.
o Break down cardboard boxes for recycling.
o Sweep workroom floor.
o Mop workroom floor (Saturday).
o Perform other tasks as requested by management.
Reports to: General Manager, Workroom Manager, Retail Manager, and Assistant Manager.
