Dental Office Manager / Practice Operations Manager

Newton Centre, MA | Full-Time | Dental / Healthcare Operations

Newton Dental Associates, part of The Berik Group, is looking for an experienced Office Manager to lead day-to-day operations at one of Greater Boston’s most established and respected multi-specialty dental practices.

This is not a basic front desk management role. We are looking for a strong operator who can lead people, protect the patient experience, drive accountability, and help the practice continue to grow.

Newton Dental Associates is a high-performing, multi-specialty practice offering general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, sleep apnea/TMD treatment, and advanced restorative care. Our standard is excellence, clinically, operationally, and in how we treat patients and each other.

About the Role

The Office Manager will oversee the daily operations of the practice and work closely with leadership, doctors, clinical teams, and administrative staff to ensure the office runs efficiently, professionally, and profitably.

The right candidate will be organized, accountable, calm under pressure, comfortable with numbers, and able to lead a team with both professionalism and urgency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily office operations and ensure the schedule runs smoothly
  • Manage front desk, patient coordination, and administrative team performance
  • Monitor key practice metrics including schedule utilization, collections, case acceptance, reappointment, cancellations, and patient flow
  • Support doctors and clinical teams by removing operational roadblocks
  • Ensure a high-quality patient experience from first call through checkout
  • Help manage financial presentation, and patient communication workflows
  • Hold team members accountable to office systems, standards, and expectations
  • Participate in daily/weekly leadership communication and follow-through
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and service
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and solutions-focused office culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Dental office management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in a busy healthcare, dental, or specialty practice environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage people, priorities, and pressure
  • Comfortable reviewing numbers and using data to improve performance
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, collections, treatment presentation, and patient service
  • Organized, proactive, and accountable
  • Professional presence with patients, doctors, and team members
  • Ability to lead with both kindness and standards

The Ideal Candidate

You are not someone who waits to be told what to do. You see problems early, communicate clearly, follow through, and take ownership. You understand that a successful practice requires both excellent patient care and strong business operations.

You can lead a team respectfully, but you are also comfortable holding people accountable. You care about the patient experience, the numbers, and the culture.

Why Join Newton Dental Associates / The Berik Group

  • Established, highly respected dental group
  • Multi-specialty practice with strong clinical leadership
  • Growth-minded organization with clear standards
  • Professional leadership team and operational support
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a high performing practice
  • Excellent patient base and strong community reputation

Compensation

Competitive compensation based on experience.
