Volunteer - Athletic Coach - 2026-2027

Location: Berg Middle School or Newton High School
Position: Volunteer Athletic Coach
Start Date: At the discretion of the NCSD Director of Activities and Athletics
Availability: At the discretion of the NCSD Director of Activities and Athletics

Applicants must have a valid coaching endorsement or coaching authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners in order to coach for our District.  

Process of Volunteer Coach Approval: 

1. NCSD Director of Activities and Athletics will review applicants and set up interviews for available positions
2. Criminal History Background check will take place 

Upon background check approval - Volunteer Coaches must also provide a copy of the following documents to Human Resources:

1. Iowa BOEE Coaching Certificate
2. Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certificate
3. Transcripts from Coaching Classes
4. Driver License

Please attach a Cover Letter to your application addressed to Laura Selover, Director of Human Resources
