We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Licensed Technician to spearhead our security and alarm system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate installation, service, and repair of alarm systems including fire alarms, CCTV, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and access control systems, telecom.
- Oversee the interpretation of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure precise system setup.
- Manage field service activities by diagnosing issues with security systems, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance.
- Supervise team members in using hand tools, power tools, cabling techniques, and electrical testing equipment to complete projects efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and recommend tailored solutions that incorporate system design principles.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), local codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, service reports, schematics updates, and system configurations for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or lead in alarm system installation and maintenance within security or surveillance industries.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking, remote access software, telecommunication wiring, and low voltage electrical systems.
- Programming fire alarm, access control, intrusion systems, and security camara systems at the head end
- Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot sensors, CCTV cameras, fire alarms, lock systems, and power supplies.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation and system design for integrated security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools such as drills and wire strippers, as well as construction practices related to cabling and conduit installation.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately while following safety protocols diligently.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team leadership; ability to train junior technicians effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel between job sites as needed.
