Senior / Principal RF Test Engineer (3x Positions Available)
Location: Westminster, Colorado (On-site)
A rapidly growing Space Technology company developing advanced electronic and RF systems is expanding its engineering team and has three exciting opportunities available for experienced RF Test Engineers. Positions are available at Senior and Principal level, depending on your experience and technical expertise.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where you'll play a key role in designing, developing and implementing sophisticated RF test solutions for complex hardware products throughout the full development lifecycle.
The Role
Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will be responsible for developing robust RF test architectures, creating automated test solutions, validating hardware performance, and supporting the successful delivery of high-performance electronic systems.
You'll be involved in:
- Designing and developing RF test systems, procedures and automation
- Creating reusable test architectures and validation methodologies
- Performing RF performance measurements and analysing test results
- Collaborating with hardware, software and systems engineering teams
- Supporting product verification, integration and troubleshooting
- Managing laboratory equipment and recommending future test capability improvements
- Presenting technical findings and contributing to engineering reviews
Engineers joining at Principal level will also provide technical leadership, influence test strategy, support design-for-test activities, and mentor junior engineers.
Required Experience
We're interested in engineers with experience in many of the following areas:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- Approximately 6 years' experience (Senior level) or 9 years' experience (Principal level) within RF test engineering
- Strong understanding of RF measurement techniques including linearity, EVM, noise and signal performance
- Design and implementation of automated RF test systems
- Experience with RF test equipment including:
- Spectrum analysers
- Vector signal analysers and generators
- Network analysers
- Oscilloscopes
- Multimeters
- Source measurement units and electronic loads
- Experience performing measurements such as S-parameters, compression, noise figure, harmonics, phase noise, adjacent channel power, group delay and related RF characterisation
- Test automation using Python, MATLAB, C/C or similar languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
- Automated production or validation test environments
- RF hardware including amplifiers, filters, converters and antenna systems
- Statistical analysis and metrology
- Design-for-test methodologies
- Technical leadership or mentoring responsibilities
