Duties
- Install new irrigation systems, including piping, sprinkler heads, controllers, and automated control systems, ensuring precise setup for optimal coverage.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing irrigation equipment to prevent breakdowns and improve system longevity.
- Troubleshoot system issues through electrical diagnostics and mechanical inspections to identify faults or inefficiencies.
- Repair irrigation system components such as valves, pumps, controllers, and sprinkler heads with skillful use of hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct system troubleshooting to diagnose problems quickly and implement effective repair solutions.
- Assist with excavation projects necessary for installing or repairing underground piping or components.
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape designs while considering soil science principles and horticultural best practices.
Requirements
- Valid state-issued license as an Irrigation Technician or equivalent certification demonstrating expertise in irrigation systems.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, repair projects, and including pumps, valves, 2 wire system, and related plumbing/electrical connections
- Strong understanding of automated irrigation control systems and system troubleshooting techniques. Including pressure testing.
- Experience with electrical diagnostics related to irrigation equipment and system components.
- Knowledge of soil science, horticulture, landscaping principles, Pump and lawn care practices to optimize irrigation performance.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavation equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
