About the Role

Aigeon.ai is an exciting new product built by NewsBreak — the leading platform for local news and information serving tens of millions of users across the United States. Aigeon is reimagining the newsletter and content-monetization space via AI: simplifying creation, audience growth, and monetization of newsletters for content creators and small media brands. We’re now scaling our engineering team and seeking a Full Stack Engineer who loves building high-impact product and infrastructure, working across the stack in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features spanning frontend, backend and infrastructure — you’ll own new product experiences and the supporting platform.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and ML teams to translate user needs into scalable, performant solutions.
  • Build APIs, microservices, and backend systems that integrate AI models (for content generation, personalization, analytics) with our web and mobile experiences.
  • Develop and ship responsive, polished UIs (web and possibly mobile) with clean architecture, high performance, and great UX.
  • Ensure the system is secure, robust, scalable — think large-scale user-facing usage, data ingestion, analytics, multi-tenant architecture.
  • Contribute to infrastructure decisions (cloud, containers/Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, observability) and help build tooling & automation for engineering velocity.
  • Drive code quality (automated tests, code reviews, documentation), mentor junior engineers, and help shape engineering best practices and culture.

Requirements

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful full-stack ownership (frontend backend).
  • Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (for example: React, TypeScript, Next.js, or equivalent) and backend languages/frameworks (for example: Python/Django/FastAPI, Go, Node.js/Express).
  • Experience building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, designing database schemas (SQL or NoSQL) and working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes or similar), CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sense of ownership and ability to drive features end-to-end with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills: you’ll be working cross-functionally and sharing technical decisions with product and leadership teams.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience working with AI/ML products (model serving, inference APIs, vector search, etc).
  • Prior exposure to multi-tenant SaaS architectures, high-volume production systems, or content/media platforms.
  • Experience with streaming data, event-driven architecture (Kafka, Pub/Sub), real-time analytics.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Pulumi) and “infrastructure as code”.
  • Experience in early-stage startup or high-growth environment, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.

Benefits

We offer competitive benefits package:

  • Health, dental, and vision care for you and your family
  • Top-tier 401(K) plan with company matching
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • FSA and commuter benefits programs
  • Team activity budget
