Position SummaryThe Business Development Manager (BDM) for C5ISR Services & Solutions is responsible for driving growth across Department of Defense (DoD) markets with a focus on Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and/or Space Force program areas. This individual leads opportunity identification, customer engagement, capture support, and partnership development to expand our portfolio of C5ISR-related services, engineering support, mission systems integration, sustainment, and emerging technology solutions. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of shaping and winning opportunities within the DoD ecosystem, with specific experience supporting C5ISR, mission systems, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and cyber/electronic warfare programs.Key Responsibilities•       Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with corporate strategic goals across the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and/or Space Force.•       Lead customer engagement activities with program offices, PEOs/PAO PMs, requirements owners, and operational stakeholders.•       Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and account planning for targeted C5ISR portfolios.•       Support the full business development lifecycle, including pipeline creation, capture strategy development, teaming strategy, solution shaping, and proposal coordination.•       Collaborate with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to develop compliant, compelling, and differentiated C5ISR solutions.•       Build and manage relationships with primes, subcontractors, OEMs, integrators, and key industry partners.•       Maintain an accurate, up-to-date opportunity pipeline (e.g., GovWin, internal CRM).•       Support bid/no-bid decisions, color team reviews, and major proposal milestones.•       Track DoD budget priorities, acquisition trends, and emerging needs in C5ISR, EMS operations, cyber, and multidomain operations.•       Represent the company at conferences, industry days, and stakeholder engagements.Required Qualifications•       Minimum 5 years of experience as a DoD civilian or active duty Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and/or Space Force preferably across C5ISR, mission systems, intelligence, cyber, or EW portfolios.•       Demonstrated success identifying, shaping, and pursuing DoD opportunities valued at $5M .•       Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, contracting mechanisms, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) system.•       Established customer relationships within Service program offices (PEOs/PAO, PMs, SYSCOMs, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, AFC, PEO IEW&S, AFLCMC, etc.).•       Strong verbal and written communication skills.•       Ability to lead cross-functional capture/proposal teams.•       Experience developing win themes, capture strategies, and solution concepts for C5ISR services.Preferred Qualifications•       Active or recent Secret or Top Secret clearance.•       Experience with IDIQs, GWACs, OTAs, and Service-specific contracting vehicles.•       Background supporting FMS, international programs, or coalition partners.•       Prior roles in systems engineering, program management, or technical C5ISR fields.•       Knowledge of emerging DoD priorities including EMSO/EMSA, AI/ML-enabled sensing, JADC2, cyber resiliency, expeditionary networking, and unmanned systems.Company DescriptionNewSat provides cost-competitive, best-of-breed, global C5ISR solutions to ensure mission success for our customers.
