Job Summary

KRDO 13 in Colorado Springs is looking for an ambitious, driven Account Executive to join our team and help local businesses grow. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering business challenges, and creating marketing solutions that deliver measurable results.

As an Account Executive, you’ll serve as a trusted marketing partner to businesses throughout the Colorado Springs market. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their goals, develop strategic advertising campaigns, and connect them with audiences across the full spectrum of today’s media landscape, including broadcast television, CTV/OTT, streaming, and digital advertising.

This is more than selling advertising. You’ll help businesses identify opportunities, reach the right audiences, strengthen their brands, increase market share, and ultimately grow their bottom line. You’ll have the opportunity to leverage the power and reach of KRDO 13 along with a broad portfolio of digital and connected-TV solutions to create customized campaigns for each client.

What you’ll do:

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with local business owners and decision-makers
• Prospect for new business and identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
• Learn each client’s business, goals, challenges, and target audience
• Develop customized advertising and marketing strategies across broadcast TV, CTV/OTT, streaming, and digital platforms
• Present compelling solutions that demonstrate how KRDO’s media products can help clients grow revenue, increase market share, and achieve their business objectives
• Manage the full sales process, from prospecting and needs analysis through proposal, closing, campaign execution, and ongoing account management
• Partner with internal teams to ensure campaigns are effectively planned, scheduled, executed, and optimized
• Stay current on evolving media trends, audience behaviors, and digital advertising opportunities.
• Consistently work toward and exceed revenue and performance goals

Physical & Technical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment as necessary
  • Ability to operate computers, broadcast equipment, cameras, editing systems, and other newsroom technology
  • Ability to work in studio, field, and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
  • Ability to travel locally for station assignments and community events

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, unless otherwise approved by management. Employees may work in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments typical of broadcast news operations.

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $55,000.00 Based on experience/Commission Based

In accordance with Colorado law, the compensation range provided is a good faith estimate of what KRDO13 reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
