News 12 is our award-winning, hyper local news station covering communities throughout Long Island, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Westchester, Hudson Valley, Connecticut and New Jersey. News 12 New York is our National streaming service for regional news, weather and News 12 originals.

Job Summary

This internship will be in both News 12 and Optimum Media. Optimum Media is our innovative multiscreen advertising sales and media consultancy business servicing small to medium business as well as national, political, media & entertainment and agency clients across the United States. Our team is comprised of Sales Executives, Software Engineers, Data Analysts, Ad Operations, Marketing Professionals, Product Managers and more. This internship is a learning and shadowing opportunity designed to provide hands-on exposure to industry practices and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Shadow team members across functions to gain exposure to day-to-day workflows, tools, and decision-making processes.
• Observe team meetings, client interactions, and internal processes to better understand business operations.
• As needed, assist team members with basic tasks to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Proactively ask questions and seek clarification to deepen understanding of team responsibilities.
• Build familiarity with company systems, tools, and processes used by the team.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $20 / hour. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
