Fleet Maintenance Management
- Input vehicles and maintenance records into the company’sfleet management system.
- Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for trucks,support vehicles, and equipment.
- Ensure timely inspections, repairs, and compliance with Newrestpolicy.
- Coordinate ordering and inventory of parts, tools, andsupplies for maintenance needs.
- Supervise, train, and develop the Fleet Maintenance Teamstaff.
- Lead workforce planning, including hiring, onboarding,coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary.
- Schedule and assign daily work tasks to ensureproductivity and safety standards are met.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, andcontinuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for externalvendors and service providers.
- Manage purchase orders (POs) related to vehicle repairs,services, and supplies.
- Monitor and control the FMT department budget, ensuringcost-effective operations without compromising safety or
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensuredocumentation meets company and regulatory standards.
- Prepare reports on fleet performance, downtime, costs,and preventive maintenance compliance.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency,reduce costs, and extend vehicle life cycles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate orbachelor’s degree in logistics, automotive technology, or related fieldpreferred.
- 3–5 years of fleet maintenance or automotive supervisoryexperience.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs,diesel engines, and fleet management systems.
- Leadership skills with proven experience managing a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in fleet maintenance software and MicrosoftOffice Suite.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and staffmanagement.
- Budget management and cost-control experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and vehiclecompliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operationalenvironment.
- Exposure to shop environment with occasional lifting of upto 50 lbs.
- Flexible to work varying schedules as needed, includingweekends or evenings.
