What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Mate position at Newport Yacht Club & Marina?

We are looking for a First Mate for an upscale Day Charter operation in the NYC Metro area, specifically Newport Marina in Jersey City.


Mid-August through October, 2025


Looking for an individual with a minimum one full season on 75 ft boats. with some mechanical aptitude, lines handling, washdown,, detailing, and guest service experience. Strong HOSPITALITY personality and interest. Strong work ethic. Long hours. Will average over $2500/week with tips.


Live aboard or live ashore. Male or female. Good learning opportunity for future captain. CPR/STCW, random drug testing, and US citizenship/Green Card mandatory.
