Duties
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients with mental health and behavioral challenges
- Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and patient responses using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clients during intake assessments, behavioral interventions, and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety and emotional stability
- Conduct data collection on client behaviors, progress notes, and medical documentation to support ongoing care and treatment adjustments
- Apply behavior intervention strategies such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and skill development
- Provide client communication support by engaging with individuals across age groups, including youth with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities
- Respond promptly to crises using crisis management and crisis intervention skills, including first aid and CPR when necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience working with adolescents in behavioral health, special education, or social work settings is highly desirable
- Must pass a life scan
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and medical records management within EMR/EHR systems
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and respond effectively during crises using de-escalation techniques
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in crisis management is a plus
