What are the responsibilities and job description for the Section 8 Occupancy Specialist position at Newport Housing Authority?
The Newport Housing Authority / Neighborhood Foundations is currently accepting resumes for the full time position of Occupancy Specialist in their Section 8 department.
The Occupancy Specialist will conduct group and individual sessions with clients regarding:
- program rules
- execute the necessary paperwork for assistance
- calculate tenant rents
- document client files
- perform data input
- assist with occupancy matters
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent math and communication skills a must.
Previous experience in housing or social service program a plus.
