Job Description
Member is an adult female living with her mom and needs dependable in-home caregiving support to help with day-to-day activities and maintaining a safe, comfortable home environment. Caregiver should be patient, respectful, and able to provide hands-on assistance with personal care while encouraging independence when appropriate. The right caregiver will be comfortable working in a home with pets, communicate clearly with the member and family, and follow a consistent routine to support the member’s daily needs.

Required Duties (Texas STAR PLUS Caregiver Requirements)
Duties may include (based on member needs and service plan):
- Personal Care: assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Mobility Support: help with safe transfers and repositioning as needed; fall-prevention awareness
- Meal Support: meal prep, cooking, and cleanup; encouraging regular hydration and nutrition
- Light Housekeeping: tidying, sweeping/mopping, dishes, laundry, changing linens, and maintaining a safe living space
- Errands/Shopping (if authorized): grocery runs and essential errands
Note: If shopping/errands are part of the care plan, driving may be required. - Companionship: supportive conversation, routine check-ins, and promoting a calm, respectful environment
- Safety Monitoring: observe and report changes in condition to the agency per policy
Smoking: Non-smoker home
