Job Description
Member needs dependable in-home caregiving support with day-to-day tasks and personal assistance as needed. This role is best for a caregiver who is patient, respectful, and comfortable working in a home where the member may smoke and there are pets present. Caregiver should be able to follow a care plan, communicate clearly, and provide safe assistance with routine activities while maintaining the member’s comfort, dignity, and privacy.

Required Duties (Texas STAR PLUS)
Caregiver duties may include, based on the service plan and member needs:
- Personal Care: assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene as needed
- Mobility Support: help with safe movement/positioning and fall-prevention awareness as needed
- Meal Support: meal prep, light cooking, and cleanup
- Light Housekeeping: tidying, dishes, sweeping/mopping light areas, wiping surfaces, taking out trash
- Laundry: washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothing/linens
- Medication Reminders: reminders only (no medication administration)
- Companionship: friendly presence, conversation, and supportive engagement
- Safety Monitoring: observe and report changes or concerns to the agency per policy
