Job Description
Member needs hands-on assistance with mobility and safe movement due to significant physical limitations. Caregiver should be comfortable providing support with transfers/positioning, fall-prevention, and maintaining a safe home environment. Strong communication, patience, and the ability to follow a care plan are important. Experience with vision-related limitations and neurological conditions is a plus. Member lives in a smoke free home and there are no pets in the home.

Required Duties (Texas STAR PLUS Caregiver Requirements)
Personal Care Assistance: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting/incontinence care as needed, hygiene support
Mobility Support: safe transfers, repositioning/turning as needed, assistance with walking or wheelchair support if applicable, fall-prevention
Meal Support: meal prep, light cooking, assistance with eating as needed, kitchen clean-up
Light Housekeeping: tidying, sweeping/mopping as needed, dishes, laundry, changing linens, maintaining a safe/clear walkway
Safety & Monitoring: observe and report changes, follow care plan, support a calm and respectful environment
Medication: reminders only
Errands/Shopping: only if later added to the care plan; if shopping is required, caregiver may need to drive
