Official Scorer

The Newport Gulls are members of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), a premier summer collegiate baseball league that is recognized nationally in Summer Collegiate Baseball industry. While the NECBL and the Newport Gulls feature the top talent from across the country - “The Major League Stars of Tomorrow” - The Newport Gulls are also in search of aspiring leaders within Sports Management, Media & Broadcasting, Operations, Community Relations, and Business-related fields. As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, applicants can expect to learn how a nonprofit sports organization is run, as well as how nonprofit organizations connect to the communities around them. The Newport Gulls are league-leading eight-time NECBL champions and are looking for applicants who share the same core desire of the Newport Gulls: to “Raise the Bar” professionally and personally.

The Newport Gulls are searching for an Official Scorer for the 2027 season to provide the organization with exceptional scoring capabilities. The ideal applicant will have a wealth of baseball scoring knowledge along with a rooted comphrension of the environment of baseball rules in the present landscape. The Official Scorer is an Internship and/or Volunteer position (unpaid), and attendance at all Newport Gulls home games is required. Prior experience with baseball scoring is not required, but definately preferred.
