Role Description The Packaging Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Newport, RI facility, responsible for overseeing all packaging operations for beer and spirits. Day-to-day tasks include planning and coordinating packaging schedules, supervising packaging line staff, and ensuring products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. The Packaging Manager will monitor equipment performance, coordinate maintenance needs, and implement process improvements to reduce downtime and waste. This role also manages inventory of packaging materials, aligns packaging activities with production and distribution needs, and maintains detailed records and reports. Collaboration with brewing, distilling, logistics, and quality teams is expected to support on-time shipments and consistent presentation of all Newport Craft brands.

Qualifications
- Experience managing or supervising packaging operations in beverage, food, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of packaging line equipment, basic mechanical troubleshooting, and coordination with maintenance teams.
- Ability to plan and prioritize production schedules, manage inventory of packaging materials, and track output and efficiency.
- Strong focus on safety, quality control, and compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards.
- Effective leadership skills with experience training, coaching, and supporting diverse teams on the production floor.
- Solid organizational and communication skills, including clear documentation and coordination across departments.
- Comfort working in a physically active, manufacturing setting, including standing, lifting, and operating equipment as needed.
- Prior experience in the craft beer, distilling, or beverage industry is preferred; relevant technical or vocational training is beneficial.
