We are seeking a clinically exceptional, detail-oriented, and leadership-driven Dermatologic Surgery Nurse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Mohs surgery program across multiple practice locations and two new Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) currently in development.
Reporting directly to the Medical Director, this role is instrumental in delivering world-class surgical care, leading clinical staff, developing ASC protocols, and maintaining the highest standards of wound care, documentation, patient safety, and communication. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant impact on clinical quality, compliance, and program growth.
โ Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Operational LeadershipOversee, schedule, and coordinate the Mohs medical assistant team across multiple sites to ensure appropriate coverage and clinical readiness
Monitor daily clinic flow and ensure patient care is delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Mohs surgical protocols
Review all Mohs surgery documentation and notes prior to provider signature, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing and regulatory requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact for wound check visits and manage post-operative patient questions and concerns with clinical expertise and empathy
Lead the creation, standardization, and ongoing improvement of clinical protocols, workflows, and SOPs for two ASCs (Carrollton and Peachtree City)
Ensure ASC readiness for accreditation and regulatory compliance, including alignment with CMS, OSHA, and state ambulatory surgery requirements
Collaborate with surgical and administrative leadership to support ASC planning, development timelines, and operational execution
Implement and monitor quality assurance programs across Mohs surgery operations
Proactively identify gaps or risks and drive continuous clinical improvement
Uphold infection control, safety standards, and documentation protocols consistent with dermatologic surgery and ASC best practices
Support chart audits, surgical outcome tracking, and workflow optimization initiatives
Lead, mentor, and develop the medical assistant team supporting Mohs surgery
Provide ongoing clinical training, performance evaluations, and feedback
Serve as a liaison between Dr. Wilson and Mohs clinical staff, fostering a high-performing, communicative, and patient-centered team environment
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Georgia
Minimum 3 years of perioperative, dermatologic surgery, or ambulatory surgical experience
Strong working knowledge of Mohs surgery workflows, wound care, and post-operative follow-up
Excellent organizational, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills
BSN or higher; CNML, NE-BC, or perioperative leadership certification a plus
Prior experience managing multi-site surgical teams and/or Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs)
Working knowledge of EHR systems (e.g., Modernizing Medicine / EMA)
Familiarity with ASC accreditation and compliance standards (AAAHC, CMS, OSHA)
