Responsibilities
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair needs and costs.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repairs using industry-standard software.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the estimation process and answer any questions.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate assessments of vehicle conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques and industry trends.
- Assist in managing customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Provide support in sales efforts by promoting additional services as needed.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures throughout the estimation process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto estimating or related fields such as service writing or automotive service.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, including diesel engine repair, brake repair, shocks/struts, and oil changes.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred but not required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates efficiently.
