Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Body Shop Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate estimates for repair costs. Your expertise in automotive service and estimating will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the quality of our services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto estimating, sales, and service writing, along with a passion for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair needs and costs.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for repairs using industry-standard software.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain the estimation process and answer any questions.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate assessments of vehicle conditions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques and industry trends.
  • Assist in managing customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide support in sales efforts by promoting additional services as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures throughout the estimation process.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in auto estimating or related fields such as service writing or automotive service.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, including diesel engine repair, brake repair, shocks/struts, and oil changes.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred but not required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
