Job Title: Paralegal
Location: Hamilton, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Pay rate: $25 per hour on W2.
Hours: 35 hrs./wk.
Newkleo is hiring Paralegal for one of their clients in Hamilton, NJ
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the management, sale, and maintenance of real property assets owned by wards under guardianship.
- Prepare, review, and file legal documents in Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court, including petitions, accountings, deeds, and other property-related filings.
- Conduct legal research on property, title, and guardianship matters.
- Coordinate with real estate professionals, title companies, and court personnel to facilitate transactions and ensure compliance with guardianship orders.
- Maintain detailed case files and property records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Track deadlines, hearing dates, and other critical case milestones.
- Assist with the preparation of accountings and reports required by the court.
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and staff within the Guardianship Unit as needed.
Skills required:
- Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with guardianship proceedings and Surrogate’s Court practice.
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
Education required:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in legal studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
Experience required:
- Minimum 2–5 years of paralegal experience with a focus on property or real estate law.
Work hours:
- Monday through Friday-8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- lunch: Half hour unpaid.
