POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The principal is the administrative officer and educational leader of the school. As a member of the leadership team, the principal is responsible to the Superintendent of Schools or the superintendent’s designee and works cooperatively with program supervisors and other staff members. General responsibilities include: providing leadership in fostering a school climate conducive to learning and the development of individual students, implementing and monitoring all building level programs to insure quality instruction and balance among program offerings within the school, and developing and implementing a program of public relations in order to further the community’s understanding and support of the school and the educational program.
