Job Title: Part-Time Cook

In this role, you will prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents, maintain a pristine kitchen environment, and work alongside a supportive team dedicated to making our community feel like home.

Pay & Schedule:

• Rate of Pay: $15.10 per hour

• Hours: 40 to 59 hours per bi-weekly pay period (Averages roughly 20–30 hours per week).

• Shift Flexibility: Must be available to work a mix of both shifts depending on schedule needs:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

  • Evening Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

• Days: Includes a rotating weekend schedule to ensure balanced time off for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, season, and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes, production sheets, and residents' specific dietary needs.

• Set up, stock, and break down food preparation stations efficiently.

• Operate standard commercial kitchen equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance.

• Maintain a highly sanitized, clean, and organized workspace in strict compliance with local health department and community regulations.

• Monitor food inventory, track daily production logs, and minimize food waste.

• Provide friendly, restaurant-style service and accommodate special resident requests with a positive attitude.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a cook, line cook, or prep cook (experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality is a plus!).

• Solid knowledge of food safety, proper sanitation protocols, and commercial kitchen operations.

• Ability to adapt to a mixed schedule (working both morning and evening rotations).

• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and safely lift up to 40 lbs.

• Reliable transportation to ensure prompt arrival for early morning (6:00 AM) shifts.
