Software Engineer

This position is available in our Partner's New York City office, or at their brand new AI Engineering squad in Baltimore, Maryland. Both locations offer the opportunity to collaborate with top talent, drive innovation, and make a real impact in asset management.This role is hybrid, with expectations of in-office work 2x/week. Design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI systems as part of our Partner's AI Engineering team. Collaborate in cross-functional squads, contribute to the Build-Operate-Transfer process, and help scale responsible AI solutions across the enterprise. ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, test, and deploy AI agents and intelligent systems for modern cloud-based, n-tier architecturesPartner with business stakeholders to develop agent-driven workflows that automate complex processes and generate actionable insightsChampion engineering excellence by applying best practices in AI development, continuous integration, and code qualityContribute to projects on agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and real-time, data-driven automationManage technical debt and drive ongoing improvements in AI platforms and infrastructureProactively seek opportunities to apply AI agents for increased business value and operational efficiencyCollaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand needs and prioritiesMake technology decisions that support current and future business objectives and fiscal responsibilityTranslate business requirements into effective technology solutionsRequirementsUS CitizenshipBS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience), with 2 years of professional development experience in an object-oriented language (Java, Python, or JavaScript preferred)Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure), containerized microservices, and agent frameworksStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesCommitment to quality via automated testing, code reviews, and continuous deliveryResults-driven with a passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologiesDesired SkillsExperience with React and/or AngularSolid understanding of financial markets and financial instrumentsAbout UsFor more than 20 years, NewGen Technologies has solved our clients’ toughest IT challenges with integrity, security, and outstanding service by delivering both technology and talent. Salary : $128,200 - $225,980
