Salary Range: $175k-200k, facility travelling required.
The Senior Director of HR, New Acquisitions & Compliance, is responsible for leading HR strategy, integration, and compliance efforts related to newly acquired entities and facility compliance for established and cluster model facilities. This role ensures seamless onboarding of acquisitions into the organization while maintaining full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The position partners closely with executive leadership, legal, operations, and HR teams to drive consistency, mitigate risk, and support positive employee experience during periods of transition and growth.
Key Responsibilities
New Acquisition Integration
• Lead HR due diligence and integration efforts for all acquisitions
• Assess workforce structure, policies, compensation, and compliance risks pre- and post-acquisition
• Develop and execute integration plans, including onboarding, benefits alignment, and cultural transition
• Partner with operations and leadership to ensure smooth employee transitions and retention strategies
Enterprise HR Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws (federal, state, and local), including wage and hour, leave laws, and healthcare-specific regulations
• Oversee audits, investigations, and corrective action plans as needed
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Monitor changes in legislation and proactively update practices and policies
Leadership Support
• Support leaders in navigating procedural updates and workforce planning
• Promote consistent application of policies and fair employment practices
HR Operations & Process Improvement
• Standardizing or aligning HR processes across newly acquired entities, existing facilities, and cluster formats
• Develop scalable systems, reporting, and dashboards to track key HR and compliance metrics
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
Training & Communication
• Lead training initiatives related to compliance, policies, and HR best practices
• Ensure clear communication during acquisitions and organizational changes
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and compliance
Qualifications
• 12 or more years of progressive experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong experience in M&A integration and/or multi-site healthcare environments
• Deep knowledge of labor laws and multi-state compliance requirements
• Proven ability to lead through change and influence senior leadership
• Experience building and scaling HR processes and infrastructure
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
