Position Overview
We’re seeking dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioners to join our team. Create your own schedule—providing advanced wound care with no weekend or holiday call.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound evaluations (size, depth, tissue type, exudate, periwound condition).
- Develop and update evidence-based wound care plans per current clinical guidelines.
- Apply advanced modalities including negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT),advanced dressings, biologics, and debridement techniques.
- Monitor for infection and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound-care techniques, nutrition, and pressure-injury prevention.
- Accurately document all patient encounters and treatments in our EMR system.
- Ensure strict adherence to state regulations, CMS guidelines, and agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active NP license in Oklahoma with prescriptive authority (Physician Assistants accepted)
- National NP certification (ANCC or AANP)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of wound-care experience preferred (prior experience as a medical-surgical nurse or ICU nurse will be considered)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within assigned metro areas
Compensation & Contract Details
- W2 Per Diem position. You're paid per completed visit on a tiered scale based on the clinical complexity of each visit — not an hourly rate.
- Tier 1 – Quick Check-In: $50/visit Wound assessment or treatment application with no cutting or repair work.
- Tier 2 – Standard Procedure: $75/visit One hands-on treatment, typically debridement.
- Tier 3 – Complex Visit: $125/visit Multiple treatments in a single visit — e.g., debridement plus imaging and compression.
*** Patient Visit Volume will increase as patient load increases but on average we expect 4 patients per day***
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $200.00 - $500.00 per day
