Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction and material handling equipment safely and efficiently on our salvage yard and surrounding areas. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operations while adhering to all safety regulations and maintenance standards. Must be able to run loader and an excavator.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, shears, balers, and various other equipment to move materials and assist with salvage operations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Handle materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts, material handling equipment, and farm machinery
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and injuries
- Assist with site setup, cleanup, and organization to promote a safe working environment
- Comply with occupational safety regulations and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating construction machinery such as excavators and loaders
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and general construction site safety procedures
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment using hand tools and basic mechanical skills
- Knowledge of occupational safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with material handling equipment operation
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
