As the second point of contact for our internal funeral home associates, you will play a crucial role in handling Memorial Expressions. Providing courteous, professional and helpful support to our associates and vendors is key. Attention to detail is imperative in maintaining our electronic filing systems, reconciling invoices and pairing with contracts. Accuracy and dependability will help you be successful in this role.
Preferred hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9a-5p with a lunch break.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner so that you get along with families, co-workers and management.
- Remain up-to-date on Paycom reading as assigned.
- Process incoming contracts through the internal database and Docuware system with emphasis on accuracy and details.
- Assist in the administrative side of completing, checking for accuracy and electronic filing of the necessary forms related to memorialization orders.
- Track and maintain all memorialization orders and follow-up with field associates on missing items required for order to be placed.
- Responsible for posting payments on memorialization contracts and processing invoices
- Refer unresolved issues to Memorial Expressions Specialist for further review and resolution.
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact Memorial Expressions.
- Assist with other Memorial Expressions business related duties as assigned.
- Light housekeeping to keep the facilities and grounds in perfect order. This includes keeping work areas tidy, picking up litter on the grounds and general straightening up.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will possess a high school diploma (though an associate’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred), along one (1) year of similar or related experience in administrative work in a professional office setting. Applicants must enjoy working with people. Intermediate office and computer skills are a must, and organizational skills and attention to detail are vital to ensure that each family is served to their satisfaction.
