What are the responsibilities and job description for the Road Maintenance Worker position at Newcomb Road District?
We are looking for a Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as road repair and replacement. Patching roads with a trailer mounted patcher and truck. Also you will be assisting with drainage and other issues that arise. Mowing roadsides and weedeating guardrails. The ideal candidate will have some road work experience and equipment operation knowledge. You will also have to participate in snow and ice management within township. Class B CDL REQUIRED. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping shop organizing.
- Installing culverts and drainage tile
- Do yard/ guardrail upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment if needed.
- Check for roadkill and remove if needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent and 18 years of age
